Turkish President Erdogan forcefully raised Kashmir issue at UNGA

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has won hearts of Pakistanis byraising Occupied Kashmir issues at UN General Assembly. Erdogan during hisaddress at the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, emphasized theimportance of resolving the Kashmir dispute through dialogue as a means tofoster peace, stability, and prosperity in South Asia.

He also outlined Turkiye’s stance on various conflicts, including those inCyprus, Syria, Yemen, Myanmar, and Afghanistan, expressing hope forpeaceful resolutions. Erdogan stressed the need for a just and lastingpeace in Kashmir through cooperation between India and Pakistan to promoteregional peace.

Additionally, he called for humanitarian support for the Afghan people andhighlighted the significance of forming an inclusive administration inAfghanistan.

Erdogan also criticized the West for the desecration of the Holy Quran,condemning the rising levels of attacks on Islam, racism, xenophobia, andIslamophobia, particularly by populist politicians in various countries
