This comes as Pakistanconsiders whether to include Hassan Ali, Zaman Khan, or Muhammad Hasnain inthe World Cup squad, following reports of star pacer Naseem Shah’s possibleexclusion due to a shoulder injury.
A user on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, recommendedthat selectors choose Arshad Iqbal over Hassan Ali, citing Arshad’s abilityto generate extra bounce and deliver fewer poor deliveries.
The user expressed the opinion that Hassan Ali’s bowling assists opposingbatters and suggested his retirement to avoid further embarrassment for theteam.
In response, Hassan Ali, at the age of 29, defended his decision not toretire from white-ball cricket, emphasizing that he is still a youngplayer. He currently boasts 229 wickets and 867 runs in his 132international appearances for Pakistan.
