India faces yet another diplomatic blow over Occupied Kashmir killings

The Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission of Organization ofIslamic Cooperation has strongly condemned the extrajudicial killing ofthree labourers in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

In a statement, the OIC’s human rights organ denounced the killings, alsoconfessed by the Indian occupation forces, as excessive wrongdoing underdraconian Armed Forces Special Powers Act.

The statement said that admission of this heinous act reinforces the OICHuman Rights Commission’s repeated concerns on intensity and frequency ofsuch crimes committed by Indian forces in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammuand Kashmir with impunity under Armed Forces Special Powers Act supportedby the State apparatus under the Hindutva ideology, which is also widelycondemned by the United Nations and the Office of the United Nations HighCommissioner for Human Rights.

The OIC Human Rights Commission urged the international community toestablish commission of inquiry under United Nations to investigate theseextrajudicial killings and grave human rights violations.

It also asked the United Nations to urge India to repeal Armed ForcesSpecial Powers Act and Public Safety Act and respect Kashmiris’ right toself-determination as per UN and OIC resolutions.
