Excise Department launches new service for the vehicle registration verification

Sindh Excise Department has launched SMS service to verify registration ofvehicles.

In a statement in Karachi, Sindh Minister for Excise and Taxation MukeshKumar Chawla said the registration of vehicles can be verified by sendingcomputerized national identity card number to 8147.

He said the SMS service has been introduced for convenience of people aswell as to discourage vehicle theft and other crimes.
