*Islamabad:* Senior politician and Senator Faisal Vawda has strongly deniedreports suggesting that Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi could be appointedas the next Prime Minister.
During a private TV program, a journalist asked whether replacing PrimeMinister Shehbaz Sharif would create further resistance, especially whenpolitical opposition from Imran Khan already exists, and if such a riskcould realistically be taken.
Responding to the question, Faisal Vawda said that Mohsin Naqvi performedremarkably well as the caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, and both ShehbazSharif and Mohsin Naqvi want a progressive Pakistan.
He further clarified, *“There seems to be no truth in the talks of removingShehbaz Sharif and bringing in Mohsin Naqvi. These are nothing but rumors.”*
Vawda stressed that the government and institutions cannot affordunnecessary political instability at this time, emphasizing that thecountry needs unity and stability above all.
