Former President Asif Zardari makes an offer to PTI government

ISLAMABAD: Former president and CO-Chaimran of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP)Asif Ali Zardari has made an offer to PTI government.

He has said that his party is ready to support the government to steer thecountry out of the economic crisis, on Thursday.

Zardari said this while addressing on the floor of the National Assembly,after being brought to the Parliament House by the NAB team on theproduction orders.

Zardari said “I repeat there are three to four issues on which we can sitwith the incumbent government”.

Former president added cooperation between the government and oppositionparties to ultimately benefit the country in improving its economiccondition.

He said no one can solely serve the country.

Commenting on the budget, he said cotton sector was neglected in thecurrent budget. At the one hand, the government increased salaries of theemployees and on the other, jacked up taxes.

“If everything is good in the budget then why the common man andindustrialists are crying”, questioned the PPP co-chairman.

He said his arrest will not cause any harm to the PPP, but the commonpeople are afraid that when a former president can be arrested, what willhappen to them.

“Stop process of accountability, arrests and move forward”, he maintained.
