Former PCB Chairman breaks silence over PCB state of affairs, strongly criticised PM Khan

ISLAMABAD – Former PCB Chairman breaks silence over PCB state of affairsand strongly criticised PM Imran Khan.

Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Najam Sethi has alleged thatthe national side skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed lacks the support of the board.

Speaking to a private news channel, Sethi said that captain Sarfarazalongside head coach Mickey Arthur are ‘insecure’ about their place in thefuture. “The PCB isn’t supporting the team and management the way it shouldbe,” he said.

The former PCB head also criticized Prime Minister Imran Khan for histweets before the Indo-Pak clash at the World Cup, saying that broughtSarfaraz under unnecessary pressure. “No matter how much cricket one hasplayed, a PM shouldn’t be saying things to the captain publicly. If he hadto say anything to him, he should have conveyed to him privately,” he said.

After losing three games in their five matches, including losing toarchrivals India, Pakistan cricket team chances at the World Cup lookbleak. However, with four games to go one cannot write off the mostunpredictable team on the circuit.

Pakistan would now face South Africa on Sunday at Lords.
