ECP approves postings of dozens of Commissioners, DCs and Secretaries: Report

ISLAMABAD – Caretaker Minister for Information, Broadcasting and LawAffairs Barrister Ali Zafar has said shuffling in bureaucracy at thefederal level is imperative.

Talking to a private TV channels, he said work in this regard is inprogress and the matter is being discussed with the Election Commission ofPakistan.

Barrister Ali Zafar said the process to reshuffle bureaucracy is difficultand time consuming.

Commenting on PTI chief Imran Khan’s letter regarding shuffling ofbureaucrats in the provinces, he said that it is domain of chief ministersand federal government has no role in it.

He said the focus of interim government is on ensuring transparentelections in the country.

Meanwhile, Election Commission has accorded approval for transfers andpostings of three secretaries, six commissioners, thirty-three deputycommissioners and various sub divisional police officers in Balochistanprovince.

The ECP has also accorded approval for transfer and postings of fourteensecretaries, six commissioners, thirty-three deputy commissioners, twoadditional inspectors general of police, 14 deputy inspectors general ofpolice and various superintendents of police in Sindh province.
