NAB Chairman bans transfers and postings following SC orders

*KARACHI: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (R)Javed Iqbal has banned all kinds of transfers and postings across thecountry. *

According to the anti-graft watchdog spokesperson, the NAB chairman hasalso ordered to stop implementation of recently announced posting andtransfers of officers to different regional offices.

The announcement from the anti-corruption department comes after SupremeCourt barred the government from the transfer of investigation officers inhigh-profile cases of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and FederalInvestigation Agency (FIA).

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Thursday announced majorreshuffle with posting and transfers.

NAB Chairman Justice (R) Javed Iqbal gave the approval of the transfers andposting of 12 officers of regional offices of Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindiand Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to a notification, the anti-graft watchdog transferred 12assistant directors of BPS-17. The anti-corruption department hastransferred 7 assistant directors of Balochistan to different regions.
