ISLAMABAD – Japanese railway companies are keen to invest in PakistanRailways.
This was stated by Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan Matsuda Kuninori duringa meeting with Minister for Railways Shaikh Rahsid Ahmad in Islamabad today.
He said the companies would provide technical support and railway safetyassistance.
Sheikh Rashid on this occasion said Japan Railway is one of the best in theworld and their partnership with Pakistan Railways will not only helpmodernize the system but improve the services of the department.
During meeting, both discussed the development projects of PakistanRailways and measures being followed to control coronavirus spread.

Sheikh Rashid said that Pakistan has restored the limited passenger trainsoperation in the country so that the masses could celebrate theirEid-ul-Fitr at their native towns without any difficulty.
The Minister urged the passengers to follow the Standard OperatingProcedures during travelling in the trains to keep them safe from thedeadly virus.
