Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Qureshi said that Pakistan hasalso decided to conduct aerial monitoring of the frontiers.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that prior to the visit of the premier toIran as much as 20 terrorists backed by Iran-based militant organizationconducted an attack within the land of Pakistan.
An alliance has come forward by the name of BRA which has takenresponsibility for the terror attack on the Makran Coastal Highway inOrmara, a remote area in Balochistan, which claimed the lives of 14passengers on April 18 after offloading them from passenger buses.
Qureshi said these gunmen were from the BRA which was based in Iran. Thetrading and logistical camps of this new alliance are based in Iran. “Wehave shared actionable evidence with Iran and taken them into confidenceover the matter,” said Qureshi.
The locations of the camps have been shared with Iran, he said, hoping thatIran – a brother country of Pakistan – takes action against the BRA. Healso appealed to Afghanistan to take action as the alliance is also presentthere.
He said PM Imran Khan will be speaking to Iranian officials about theplacement of certain mechanisms to avoid such incidents in the future onhis two-day visit to Iran. PM Khan leaves for his maiden visit to Irantomorrow.
