MIRPUR (AJK): Azad Jammu and Kashmir government has announced to observe ‘Thanks-Giving Day’ on Friday, across AJK, to express gratitude to Almighty Allah on verdict of the Supreme Court relieving Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and his family in the famous Panama Papers Case.
At the same time, people across Azad Jammu & Kashmir especially the PML (N) activists and supporters celebrated the verdict of the Supreme Court of Pakistan in Panama case.
Thousands of jubilant people including the activists and supporters thronged the streets in major towns of the state as verdict by the apex court was announced.
In Mirpur, a large number of PML (N) workers staged a rally, led by local PML (N) leader Ch. Ejaz Raza, Mirza Tahir Mahmood and others to celebrate the decision.
Addressing a public rally in front of Central Press Club in the State’s capital town, AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan described the court verdict as victory of truth, righteousness and justice. (APP)
