Kashmir Dispute a living reality between India and Pakistan
ISLAMABAD: The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement (DPM), Mohammad Shafi Reshi in Indian Held Kashmir, said that Kashmir dispute is a living reality between India and Pakistan and no one can shy away from it by closing eyes.
Muhammad Shafi Reshi in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Kashmir was not a border or territorial dispute between Pakistan and India, but it was an internationally-recognized dispute pertaining to the right to self-determination of the Kashmiri people, Kashmir Media Service reported.
He said that the dispute was pending with the United Nations for the past almost seven decades. He said that India should give up its rigid and unrealistic approach towards Kashmir dispute and come forward to settle it in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations through the implementation of the relevant UN resolutions.
He said that peaceful settlement of the dispute could bring progress and prosperity in the region.
