ISLAMABAD: Federal minister Pervaiz Rashid categorically said that eradication of corruption is government’s national agenda while continuity of democratic system is necessary to end the menace of corruption.
While talking to media here at Tuesday in Islamabad, he made it clear that no one would be allowed to destabilize government in guise of ending corruption. Elimination of corruption is our national priority but continuity of democratic system is essential for the eradication of corruption.
While referring to the report of Transparency International, he added that corruption and terrorism have reduced to a great extent in the country while all the mega projects launched by government during the last three years reflects transparency in these projects.
Past years accountability was ridiculous and shocking while we are supporter of independent and autonomous institutions, Pervaiz added, stating that all the institution would have to work together for the eradication of terrorism.
In order to investigate people in while collar crime is complicated matter however, a committee should be formed to end the menace of terrorism, Pervaiz explained stating that Parliament would also have to play its role in this regard.
