ISLAMABAD – Indian Premier League (IPL) suffered a major blow on Wednesdayas federal government has decided to slap ban on coverage of India’s topcricket tournament in Pakistan.
A summary in this regard has been forwarded to the cabinet for approval.
As per details garnered, Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority(PEMRA) will ensure that ban on IPL coverage must be implemented in itstrue letters and spirit.
A seemingly possible ban means that IPL will lose multi-million dollarlucrative Pakistani market; second only to India in cricket world.
The decision has been taken against the backdrop of ban on coverage ofmatches of Pakistan Super League (PSL) in India.
