ISLAMABAD – Air France, Lufthansa, Norwegian Airline and a Saudi Airlinehave shown interest in operating in Pakistan, said the Federal Minister ofAviation Mr. Muhammad Mian Soomro, during CAA’s “one employee – one tree”plantation campaign at Jinnah International Terminal.
CAAs plantation campaign is a part of Prime Minister’s Green Pakistanprogram. He said that the Aviation Policy 2019 has been designed toincrease growth in the aviation sector by reducing charges on airliners andallow them to compete to provide better services to passengers.
He also added that the government is looking forward to foreign investorsfinancing new domestic airlines in Pakistan.
Senior Officials of CAA participated in the event including DDG regulatory(Deputy Director General Regulatory wing) Air Commodore Syed Nasir RazaHamdani, DDG-ANS (Deputy Director General Air Navigation Services) KhawarGhayas, APM JIAP(Airport Manager Jinnah International Airport) ZafarAitemd.
It should be kept in mind that British High Commissioner Thomas Drewannounced British Airways will return to Pakistan in a video message onTwitter back in December.
