Islamabad: Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan held important telephonicconversation with the Chinese President Xi Jinping.In order to demonstratePakistan’s unequivocal solidarity with the Chinese leadership and people inthe wake of outbreak of Coronavirus, PM Imran Khan had a telephoneconversation with President Xi Jinping today.
According to details, Prime Minister Imran Khan appreciated China’s strongresolve and special measures to look after our nationals during thisdifficult time. He expressed the confidence that China will continue totake best possible measures for the welfare of our nationals and studentsin China.
President Xi expressed profound gratitude for Pakistan’s support to Chinaat a critical time and underscored that China was taking effective, swiftand timely measures to battle Coronavirus. President Xi emphasized thatChina will win people’s war against Covid-19.
President Xi reaffirmed that China is treating Pakistani students “as ourown” and will spare no effort in ensuring their safety, health andwell-being.
On bilateral relations, President Xi underscored China’s commitment totaking the Pakistan-China economic partnership to a new level and stressedthat CPEC will continue to be its strongest centre-piece.
Both leaders shared their resolve to continue to have communication andexchanges at the highest level to strengthen Pakistan-China All-WeatherStrategic Cooperative Partnership and to build closer China-PakistanCommunity of Shared Future in the New Era.
