ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Bajwa held important meetingwith top civil and military leadership of Kuwait.
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has paid an officialday-long visit to Kuwait, according to the a statement issued by the InterServices Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday.
COAS Bajwa held meetings with Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Minister ofDefence Sheikh Ahmad Mansour Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and chief ofgeneral staff of Kuwait Armed forces Mohammed Khaled Al-Khadher.
During the meetings, matters of mutual interest, bilateral defense andsecurity cooperation, and regional peace and stability were discussed.
The political and military leadership of Kuwait highly appreciated theprofessionalism of Pakistan army and determination of the Pakistani nationin combating terrorism.

Both sides agreed to increase bilateral cooperation in multiple fields ofdefence and security including export of defense products, training,provision of trained manpower and cooperation in counter terrorism domain.
A smartly turned out contingent of Kuwait Army presented the guard ofhonour to the COAS.
