In a setback for India, US Congressmen strongly raised Occupied Kashmir lockdown ahead of President Trump visit to India

ISLAMABAD – In a setback for India, US Congressmen strongly raised OccupiedKashmir lockdown ahead of President Trump visit to India.

Ahead of US President Donald Trump’s visit to India on Monday, two USCongressmen have raised serious concerns over the prevailing situation inIndian Occupied Kashmir and the new controversial citizenship law.

In their separate statements, Congressmen Ami Bera and George Holdingstressed that the Narendra Modi government should release politicaldetainees and restore normalcy in the Occupied Kashmir at theearliest.

Ami Bera who was talking to newsmen in New Delhi said it is desire of theUS to see a resolution of Kashmir issue.

He also expressed concern over the Citizenship Amendment Act that hassparked protests across India over the last three months.
