KABUL – Afghan Taliban strongly react over the re election of theAfghanistan President Ashraf Ghani.
Afghan Taliban called the election process as ‘fake and unlawful’. Thegroup in a statement said “Holding elections and announcing oneself apresident under occupation shall never remedy the problems of our MuslimAfghan nation just as it has failed to do so over the past nineteen years.”
Calling the re-election of Ghani as ‘unlawful’ and having no legal basis,the group further added that the announcement declaring Ghani as President‘is also in conflict with the contents of the ongoing peace process whilekeeping in mind the current sensitive circumstances of the Afghan issue.’
The group also warned that it will continue to its fight until theoccupation is brought to an end.
