*ISLAMABAD: Vice Chief of Joint Staff, Japan Self Defence Forces,Lieutenant General Takashi Motomatsu on Wednesday called on Chief ofPakistan Navy Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi at Naval Headquarters inIslamabad.*
The Pakistan Navy spokesperson said both the military leaders exchangedviews on the issues of mutual interest including defence and security.
On this occasion, Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi thanked Lieutenant GeneralTakashi Motomatsu for Japan’s full participation in multi-nation maritimeexercise ‘Aman 2019’, the Pakistan Navy spokesperson said.
He said the Japanese vice chief of joint staff appreciated Pakistan forholding ‘Aman 2019’ to jointly resolve regional security challenges. Healso lauded the Pakistan Navy for ensuring joint regional maritime security.
