PARIS – The three-day meeting of Financial Action Task Force (FATF) willcommence in Paris from Wednesday to discuss counter-terrorist financing andPakistan being on the agenda over counter terrorism watch List.

The three-day meeting will discuss a new counter-terrorist financingoperational plan that will set out the actions the FATF will be taking inresponse to the changing terrorist financing threats.

The participants will also discuss FATF’s efforts to help preventUN-sanctioned entities from using the financial system to support theirprogrammes to develop weapons of mass destruction.

FATF Heads of Financial Intelligence Units will discuss how to improve thequality of financial intelligence, including through the use of ITsolutions.
