Prime Minister Imran Khan has assured to uplift the poor segments of thesociety and backward areas including the tribal districts.
He was addressing a ceremony in connection with distribution of chequesamongst the tribal people under Kamyab Jawan Program in Wana today.
The Prime Minister said the special emphasis will be given to the educationsector and provision of livelihoods to the people of tribal districts. Hesaid apart from giving scholarship to the youth, schools, colleges,universities and technical institutes will be established in the tribaldistricts.
Imran Khan said the loans under the Kamyab Jawan Program are just thebeginning and its scope will be further expanded. He said more funds willbe poured into the program from next year so that more loans could be givento the people.
The Prime Minister said assistance will also be provided to the tribalpeople under the Ehsaas program. He said the cattle will also be providedto the women of these areas.
Imran Khan said that road infrastructure will also be built so that thefarmers could easily take their produce to the markets. Referring to thepotential of the area in the olive oil production, he said massiveplantation will be started in the tribal areas from next month. He saidthis project will enhance the income level of the people and they will notrequire to find jobs in other cities.
The Prime Minister said that each family in the tribal districts will beprovided with health insurance card under which they will be able to getmedical treatment worth seven hundred thousand rupees per year.
On the occasion, the Prime Minister also announced the opening of 3G and 4G facility in the area saying this is the requirement of the youth to catchup with the world.
