Islamabad: Higher Education Commission (HEC) has issued a notification onWednesday according to which students with 16 years of education can applyfor admissions in PhD degree without enrolling themselves into MS or MPhil.

According to the new policy, students need to complete their PhD degreewithin three to eight years.

HEC has changed policies for graduate programs as well.

Students with Bachelor’s degrees can now easily apply for PhD directlywithout hindrance.

The new policy has came into effect from January 1, 2021.
