LONDON: British PM David Cameron announced that Muslim women who cannot speak English or with poor English skills have to face the risk of deportation. He claimed that these people can be influenced easily to deliver the messages of groups like ISIS.
He expressed his views at launching of $28.5 million language fund to develop the isolated communities.
2.7 million Muslims are living in England out of 53 million total population.
“I am not saying there is some sort of casual connection between not speaking English and becoming an extremist, of course not,” he told BBC radio.
“But if you are not able to speak English, not able to integrate, you may find therefore you have challenges understanding what your identity is and therefore you could be more susceptible to the extremist’s message.”
Muslim groups and opposition parties criticized David Cameron and his conservative government and claimed that they are using British Muslims for their political benefit.
