The Foreign Office responded to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's concerns regarding a perceived threat from Pakistan by firmly rejecting the statement. During a weekly press briefing, the Foreign Office spokesperson, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, emphasized Pakistan's commitment to being a peaceful nation, Aaj TV English website has reported.
In response to a question, the spokesperson explicitly stated that Pakistan had no intentions of deploying its military forces to Gaza. She also expressed Pakistan's deep concern about the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Gaza as a result of Israel's actions. She condemned deliberate attacks on civilian targets, labeling them as war crimes and crimes against humanity.
The Foreign Office spokesperson reemphasized the call for an immediate ceasefire and the creation of humanitarian corridors. Additionally, she announced that a chartered plane carrying 100 tonnes of aid, including medical supplies, tents, and blankets, was scheduled to depart on Thursday afternoon.
Baloch went on to mention Pakistan's role in co-convening an extraordinary meeting within the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) focused on the Palestinian issue. During this meeting, there were calls for the implementation of a Two-State solution.
