PM Nawaz Sharif leaves for two day official visit of Uzbekistan

ISLAMABAD: PM Nawaz Sharif has departed for Uzbekistan on two days official visit. PM Nawaz will meet high government officials including President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov in Tashkent during his visit. As per Foreign Secretary's statement, various regional and international issues will be discussed in the meeting. PM will also hold separate meeting with President Islam Karimov. Both the countries will talk to enhance the cooperation in different fields including energy, trade, culture, reginal connectivity, tourism and people to people contacts. Pakistan wants to expand its engagement with Central Asian Republics (CAR) for mutual cooperation and PM visit to Uzbekistan is reflective of commitment of expanding mutually beneficial cooperation with all the countries in the region. Special Assistant to PM on foreign affairs, Advisor to the PM on National Security and Special Assistance to the PM on Aviation and others senior officials are also included in the delegation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
