In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh acts of state terrorism martyred four Kashmiri youth in Pulwama and Baramulla districts.
The troops martyred three youth during a cordon and search operation in the wee hours, today, in Bunpora Panzgam area of Pulwama district. The troops also blasted a house in the area with explosive material. The slain youth were identified as Showkat Ahmed Dar, Irfan Ahmed and Muzaffar Ahmed.
The troops martyred one more youth during a similar operation in Hatlangoo area of Sopore in Baramulla district.
Meanwhile, forceful demonstrations erupted at Panzgam against the killing of the youth. Youth hit the streets and started pelting stones on the Indian forces to disperse them. The forces’ personnel fired teargas shells to chase away the youth, triggering clashes.
The occupation authorities snapped internet service in Awantipora and its adjoining areas and in Sopore town. The authorities also suspended train service in south Kashmir for the second day, today.
On the other side, the troops have also launched a cordon and search operation in Dehruna area of Islamabad district.
Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has strongly denounced Indian authorities for imposing restrictions in Srinagar and disallowing people from offering Friday prayers at historic Jamia Masjid.
In a tweet he said, locking down the biggest mosque of Kashmir and denying Muslims of their right to pray reflect the utter disdain for people’s religious rights by the Indian occupation authorities.
