RAWALPINDI – Federal Ombudsperson for Protection against Harassment of Women at Workplace, Kashmala Tariq expressed on Tuesday that sending good morning messages to women falls within the ambit of harassment.
Addressing the audience at the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce, Tariq elaborated that extending offers for tea meetups repeatedly to women also equates harassment.
‘Harassment can be of any kind besides sexual,’ the official observed.
Kashmala Tariq opined that her office also received complaints about attendants harassing fellow workers adding that the victims can lodge their complaints online as well.
The official urged men to provide enough space to women for resolving issues. She highlighted that women were showing extraordinary performance in all fields of life.
