Thousand of people attended martyr’s funeral in Baramulla, occupied Kashmir

Thousand of people attended the funeral prayers of a youth, Adnan Ahmad Channa in Baramulla district of occupied Kashmir. Adnan was killed by the Indian troops during a cordon and search operation in Gund Brath area of Sopore town, yesterday.

Meanwhile, complete shutdown was observed in northern Kashmir’s Baramulla town, today, to mourn the killing of the youth.

However, people, particularly the youth, took to streets and clashed with forces’ personnel.

Over a dozen youth were injured when troops fired pellets and teargas shells on the protesters in the town.

People also staged a strong protest demonstration against crushing to death of a woman and her minor niece by an Indian Army vehicle in Rajouri district.

The protesters blocked the road and demanded an action against the Indian Army driver.

Meanwhile, a delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front led by Professor Raja Zafar Khan held a meeting with British Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London.

The delegation also met the Chairperson of All-Party Parliamentary Group on Kashmir, Ms Debbie Abrahams, and apprised her of the ground situation in occupied Kashmir.

In a statement, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front expressed resolve that its activists continued “Free Yasin Malik” and “Remove ban on JKLF” campaign in various parts of the world. In Brussels, the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Raja Farooq Haider Khan met high ranking officials of European Union and discussed with them human rights violations committed by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir.
