Rs 600 mln allocated to control the spread of HIV: CM Sindh

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah says six hundred million rupees has been allocated to contain and control the spread of HIV in the province.

Talking to a delegation of US organization Gilead Sciences led by its Vice President Clifford Samuel in Karachi today, he said the provincial government has also established Endowment Fund of one billion rupees for rehabilitation of HIV affected people.

Chief Minister said over thirty-two thousand people were screened, out of whom more than nine hundred including over seven hundred children were detected HIV positive.

He said a new Pediatrics Treatment Center has been established at Children Hospital Larkana and another similar center was being set up at Taluka Heaqquarter hospital Ratodeto.
