Chairman Pukhtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP) Mahmood Khan Achakzai held a meeting with the Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif in Lahore on Friday.
Both the leaders discussed the country's political situation and ways to promote inter-provincial harmony.
They condemned those opposition leaders who abused parliament recently.
They reiterated their committed to continue their work for strengthening the democratic system.
Speaking on the occasion, the Punjab Chief Minister said that Pakistan was created through a democratic process and Parliament is a respectable institution.
He said that responsibility for strengthening democracy rests with all political parties.
He pointed out that progress and prosperity of Pakistan depends on democracy. He said that Pakistan belongs to all of us and we all should play our role for its prosperity.
The Chief Minister said that the country needs unity and solidarity and those who follow politics of disruption will harm the country.
