MULTAN - Attacks were being carried out at walls of Pakistan House in Dehli in the wake of Pulwama incident, Foriegn Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said.
He said that today's Pakistan was "Naya Pakistan" and things have changed compared with Pakistan of the past. India is itself creating unrest in held Kashmir due to excessive use of power, he said adding that pellet guns were being used against innocent Kashmiris. The foreign minister said that Kashmiri youth had been standing up against Indian atrocities and holding peaceful demonstrations against oppression. He said that Kashmiri people were seeking shelter in mosques due to brutalities of Indian forces, who are attacking the Muslims of held Kashmir and damaging their properties. The minister said that he had written to United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres about India's designs of creating an atmosphere of jingoism among its people. He said that his letter had also been distributed among the members of Security Council. He said that he had already talked to his Russian counterpart that Indian leadership could demonstrate irresponsible behaviour before their elections. Qureshi said that India was also talking about revisiting Indus Water Treaty for the sake of internal politics. He added that India should not be in any misunderstanding because Pakistan knew very well how to protect its rights. Qureshi said that he also met Pakistani High Commissioner to New Dehli in Islamabad in order to asses the situation in India following Pulwama incident. He said that he had instructed foreign missions to present Pakistan's viewpoint to the world amicably. Similarly, a meeting of experienced diplomats is being convened in Islamabad to devise an effective strategy. Responding to a question about Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav, the foreign minister said that India wanted acquittal, release and return of Jadhav, but Pakistan has solid evidence against the spy. Pakistani jurists are presenting its point of view in the International Court of Justice, he added. To another question about trade between Pakistan and India, Qureshi said that New Delhi had withdrawn the Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status to Pakistan, adding that it had also increased 200 per cent import duty on Pakistani products. The Indian leadership was talking about closure of bus service between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad.
