SRK turns down Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s films

NEWS DESK: Shah Rukh Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali gave a spectacular film Devdas in 2002. Since then, fans have been waiting for the two to collaborate again. Reportedly, SRK has turned down offers to star in Bhansali’s films.

Last year, SRK revealed that Bhansali offered him two scripts and he was not sure which one he will be doing. However, as reported by a leading daily, Shah Rukh Khan has turned down SLB’s films. A source told the daily, “Shah Rukh is not doing Sanjay’s film anymore. They had several meetings to discuss the scripts in hand last year, but nothing really worked out. SRK politely turned down the movies that were offered to him.”

But Shah Rukh and Bhansali are still good friends even though the superstar turned down the offers. The source adds, “SLB and SRK are both extremely professional. They don’t let work affect their personal equation. They are good friends and they remain so. They have promised to work together on something very soon.”

The Swades actor is currently busy with Aanand L Rai’s Zero. The film also stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in lead roles and will be releasing during Christmas 2018.

He is also in talks with Siddharth Roy Kapur for Rakes Sharma biopic Salute. The source informed, “SRK is discussing films with a few other directors and he will green light one, so expect a big announcement about his next film very soon.”

Salute was first offered to Aamir Khan. After he quit the project, he recommended Shah Rukh Khan’s name to the makers to play Rakesh Sharma’s role.APP/AFP
