ISLAMABAD – Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif has admitted that there are factions within Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), admitting the ongoing disagreements within the leaders of ruling party.
He believes that it is not new to witness grouping in political parties. “Differences within parties are the beauty of democracy,” he stated.
However, political analysts argued that the differences emerging within PML-N are giving a clue of bigger conflicts ahead. They commented on Asif’s statements and shed light on the ongoing conflict between former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar and ex-information minister Pervaiz Rashid.
