Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited an Operational Baseof Pakistan Air Force today (Friday) to witness Pak-China Joint AirExercise Shaheen-IX.
According to ISPR, the COAS was received by Chief of the Air Staff,Pakistan Air Force Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan.
Addressing the participants of exercise, the Army Chief said the JointExercise will improve combat capacity of both Air Forces substantially andalso enhance interoperability between them with greater strength andharmony.
The COAS said that such joint training ventures are vital to increasecombat readiness of both countries to face emerging geo-strategicchallenges.
While interacting with the base personnel, the Army Chief lauded theprofessionalism and dedication of PAF and reiterated the importance ofinter- services harmony and synergy for operational success.
Shaheen-IX is 9th in the series of joint exercises between PAF and PLAAFwhich started in 2011 and are held in Pakistan and China on alternate basis.
