PCB CEO makes important statement over Bangladesh Cricket team visit to Pakistan

ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s CEO Wasim Khan once againclarified that Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is left with no other optionthan sending their team to Pakistan next year.

Bangladesh is due to play three T20Is and two Tests in Pakistan in Januarynext year. While having chitchat in a lighter mood with reporters at themedia box during Day 1 of the second Pak-SL Test, Khan highlighted that theBCB should give a solid reason if they don’t want to tour Pakistan.

“I mean why would they say no, everything is fine here. If they talk aboutsecurity then the International Cricket Council (ICC) had given clearanceto us. Sri Lanka has toured Pakistan thrice. We have been staging PSLmatches in the country for the last three years,” Khan said.

“If they still show any hiccups in this regard then they will be answerabledirectly to the ICC,” the CEO PCB added.

To a query about political influence is the reason behind BCB’s disinterestfor Pakistan tour, Khan said that every team takes permission from thegovernment before every tour.
