DUBAI – The International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Disputes ResolutionsCommittee (DRC) on Wednesday has asked Pakistan to pay $1.2 million(approx. Rs 17 crore) fine to Indian BCCI.
ICC has determined that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will play 60percent of the expenses to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
The BCCI filed a compensation case of $2 million against the PCB citingfinancial loss during the case which the Pakistani board filed against themfor not playing a bilateral series according to the Memorandum ofUnderstand (MoU).
Pakistan lost the compensation case of $70 million and now they will pay$1.2 million to the BCCI as per announced by the world’s cricket governingbody.
The PCB replied to the ICC’s decision saying that “The award ofsignificantly lesser costs than claimed by BCCI reflects that PCB’s casehad merits,”
