GUJRANWALA – The deputy commissioner of Punjab’s city Gujranwala wastransferred on the directives of Bushra Maneka, Daily Pakistan has reported.

According to a report by Channel 24, Shoaib Tariq was abruptly transferredon Friday and was asked to leave the charge in a surprise shuffle, however,Bushra Maneka played a pivotal role in the matter.

The report outlines that Tariq had sent a notice of demolition of a petrolpump tucked on GT Road during the anti-encroachment drive.

The fuel station is owned by an influential politician who reached out tothe first lady and got the civil servant transferred.

Shoaib Tariq initially resisted to leave the charge, however, shockingrevelations suggest that Bushara Maneka was approached by thedaughter-in-law of Chaudhry Iqbal following which the officer wastransferred.

The Deputy Commissioner was asked to report to the Services and GeneralAdministration Department (S&GAD) after the intervention.

Reportedly, Farah – who happens to be the daughter-in-law of Ch IqbalGujjar – approached Bushra Maneka and got the anti-encroachment drivesuspended as well.
