LAHORE – Punjab government has rejected media reports linked with firstlady Bushra Maneka over transfer of DC Gujranwala.
The Gujranwala deputy commissioner (DC), who refused to accept his“abrupt” transfer notice, was removed from office over the involvement ofFarah Ahsan, a friend of First Lady Bushra Imran, earlier media hasreported.
It was reported on Friday that Gujranwala DC Shoaib Tariq Warraich haddeclined to leave charge of his office and resisted the government’s actionwhich had been taken on “political grounds”.
