Former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s lawyer, Sher Afzal Khan Marwat, hasrecently made astonishing claims. According to him, official sources haveindicated that on May 9th, an FIR (First Information Report) was filedregarding an attack on an intelligence agency’s office in Faisalabad, andChairman Imran Khan was officially named as a suspect in this incident.
What’s even more significant is that the authorities are planning torequest the transfer of this case for a hearing before the MilitaryTribunal, which operates under the framework of the Army Act of 1952. Thissuggests a potentially serious legal and political development.
Furthermore, the lawyer’s revelations don’t stop there. He has disclosedthat three additional cases were also filed in Faisalabad on the same day,May 9th, in which Mr. Khan has been implicated. The Chief Minister ofPunjab took a special interest in these cases and personally visitedFaisalabad to provide a briefing on the progress of these investigations,particularly in relation to the ISI’s activities in Faisalabad.
