NEW YORK – UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has said that formerPakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Dr Maleeha Lodhihad played a key role in improving the credibility of Pakistan through herperformance and experience.
“Maleeha presented the Pakistani stance on each topic and forum,” he said,
During her farewell meeting, she apprised UN Secretary General AntonioGuterres of the latest situation in Occupied Kashmir. “Pakistan alwaystalks about resolving the problems through dialogues and peaceful way,” hesaid.
She said that Prime Minister Imran Khan is playing his role to end tensionbetween Saudi Arabia and Iran.
Dr Maleeha Lodhi also exchanged views about the Afghan peace talks.
She thanked the UN secretary general for his statement of August 8 andsubsequently on the situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir. She also thankedthe UN Secretary General for close cooperation that the Pakistan Mission inNew York had with him and his office during her tenure.
