Former PCB Chief Rameez Raja criticized the team management and skipperBabar Azam for the decision to include Fakhar Zaman in the Super 4 matchagainst Sri Lanka, a match that ultimately led Pakistan to exit the 2023Asia Cup due to their loss. Expressing his concerns, Rameez Raja pointedout that Fakhar Zaman’s recent form was inconsistent, and his body languageon the field was concerning.
Rameez Raja stated on his YouTube channel, “Fakhar Zaman seems to bestruggling lately. His body language is bewildering. In my opinion, Fakharshould have declined to play himself. He has taken a cheap trick, leavingone or two innings behind.” He also suggested that Fakhar Zaman shouldconsider stepping down.
Rameez Raja also expressed disappointment over the absence of two keyplayers in this crucial match against Sri Lanka: Imam-ul-Haq, who was outdue to a back injury, and Saud Shakeel, who couldn’t recover from a feverand had to miss the match
