In the government’s ongoing campaign to curb the accumulation of USD,intelligence agencies will conduct house searches to recover US currency,as indicated by insider information.Sources have revealed that specifichomes have been identified using data collected from currency exchangebusinesses. It has been reported that a network involved in hoarding USdollars at residences has come to light following the crackdown.
Sources have also stated that a list of individuals who have madesignificant purchases of US currency is in the possession of theseagencies. The FIA and undisclosed government entities will carry outtargeted residential operations, according to these sources.Individualsfound to be hoarding dollars in their homes may face imprisonment,according to confidential sources.
Following actions taken against the currency hoarding network, the USdollar has depreciated by 31 Pakistani rupees in the open market. OnSeptember 1st, the dollar reached its highest value against the PKR,closing at 328 rupees
