The government has decided to introduce digital currency to improvethe country’s economy, prevent black money, improve the value of therupee and make various types of payments.
The value of the digital currency will be equal to the Pakistanirupee, just as one unit of China’s digital currency is equal to theChinese yuan, and it will have the full support of the State Bank.
These papers will be issued on the basis of legal tender i.e.government guarantee like currency.
The State Bank has started work for the preparation of digitalcurrency and the services of experts are also being procured in thisregard.

For this, an organization called Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC)is working which is evaluating its cost and other factors to take intoaccount all the nuances and after launching the digital currency.
