IHC announces verdict in Federal Tax Ombudsman Mushtaq Sukhera removal case

ISLAMABAD – Islamabad High Court has announced verdict in Federal TaxOmbudsman Mushtaq Sukhera removal petition.

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has restored Mushtaq Ahmed Sukhera as theFederal Tax Ombudsman (FTO) with immediate effect.

IHC has declared the law ministry notification for his removal null andvoid. The law ministry had removed Sukhera in June. He had been appointedin August, 2018 for a period of four years.

IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah announced the decision, which had earlierbeen reserved.
