KARACHI – Sindh Police head constable was martyred and one person wasinjured for resistance during a robbery in the Karimabad area of Karachiduring the wee hours of Sunday.
According to police sources, the incident took place near APWA girlsCollage in Karimabad area.
The robbers were trying to loot a shop when the head-constable, MuhammadImran -son of Qasim – posted at Sharifabad police station, resisted againstthe robbers and he was shot dead. While, Javed Ali, son of Abdul Majeed,was critically injured.
The body and the injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) formedico-legal formalities and treatment, respectively.
The police have registered the case and started further investigation inincident. However, the funeral prayer of the martyred head constableMuhammad Imran, will be offered on Sunday at Deputy Inspector General ofpolice (DIGP) west office.
