ISLAMABAD – Commonwealth Observer Group says its presence in Pakistanaffirms the Commonwealth’s support to the country and its democraticprocesses.
Speaking on his arrival in Islamabad today, the observer group’s headGeneral Abdulsalami A. Abubakar said they will perform their role withimpartiality, independence and transparency during elections in Pakistan.
He expressed the hope that all stakeholders will play their part inensuring peaceful and credible elections.
The Commonwealth Observer Group called upon citizens, particularly womenand youth, to participate in the election.
