ISLAMABAD, Jul 18 (APP): National Highway Authority on Monday evening issued province-wise Situation Report for its highways network.
According to a press release issued on Monday Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Regional Office N-5, N-45, N-50, N-55, N-80, N-90, & N-95 falling in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are open for all types of traffic,except N-45 (Nowshera-Chakdara-Dir-Chitral Highway).Due to heavy rain on July 17, 2016 road from Km. 238 to Km. 245 (Chitral side of Lowari Pass) and 200 meter short of North Portal, Lowari Tunnel are blocked due to sliding at different locations.
Dozers, excavators, loaders and tractor trollies are working to open the said section of the road.The road portion 200 meter down North Portal of Lowari Tunnel will take time, Korean contractors are working.
According to Northern Areas Regional Office N-15, N-35 (KKH), S-2 and S-3 falling in Northern Areas are open for all types of traffic. N-15, N-35 (KKH) and S-1 falling in Gilgit-Baltistan region are open for all types of traffic,said a press release.
The N-5, N-75, and N-80 sections falling in Punjab North are open for all type of traffic.
Punjab South Regional Office has informed that N-5, N-5A, N-55 and N-70 falling in Punjab South are open for all types of traffic. per Sindh North Regional Office report N-5, N-20, N-55, N-65, N-455, M-8 falling in Sindh North are open for all types of traffic.
N-5, N-25, N-55, N-110, N-120, M-9 and M-10 falling in Sindh South are open for all types of traffic.National Highways N-25, N- 40, N-50, N-65 and N-70 falling in Balochistan North are open for all types of traffic.
N-10 (Makran Coastal Highway) and N-25 falling in Balochistan South are open for all types of traffic.
Motorway from Peshawar to Lahore and Faisalabad are open for all types of traffic. Discharge at Indus Bridge & Jindi Bridge on M- 1 & Jhelum Bridge on M-2 is monitored.
