LAHORE (APP): Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday directed Cabinet Committee on Flood to ensure implementation of protective arrangements against possible flood due to rains.
He said that flow of rivers, canals and water channels should be monitored round the clock. He said that Cabinet Committee on Flood should remain in contact with Meteorological department regarding weather situation and immediate steps should be taken in case of any emergency.
The CM said that concerned provincial and federal institutions should perform their responsibilities with effective coordination. He added that lack of coordination between departments concerned would not be tolerated. He said that abundant stock of necessary items besides edibles should be ensured.
Shehbaz Sharif said that he would personally monitor arrangements against possible flood.
